As a wife, mom, & boss babe my hands are full nurturing these important roles.
I have been married to my husband, Jonny, for over 6 years and we are the parents to our angel girl Jaxlee. Jaxlee was born with Ataxic & Spastic Cerebral Palsy due to a part of her brain not developing correctly. She is now 4 years old and works really hard to accomplish simple tasks like eating a full meal & walking short distances with a walker.
Over 10 years ago, I started my own business offering hair & makeup for weddings and special events. Nine years later I have done hair & makeup for over 300 brides. Along with hair & makeup, I have a passion for safer products. I partnered with Beautycounter over two year ago with the mission to get safer products into the hands of everyone. As a Senior Director with Beautycounter, I love to see how lives are being enriched not only through the products but the business as well.
My goal here is to inspire you to be confident and bold in living out your journey as I share mine with you! Despite how people’s lives look on the internet, no one is perfect & there is such beauty in the imperfect if you allow yourself to see it.
This is my hunkey man Jonny! We met at a country music festival almost 10 years ago through a mutual friend! At the end of the concert weekend I called my mom and told her that I met the man with the kind of character I wanted to marry, but I just wasn’t attracted to him. Three years later we got married!! Now, I think he is the hottest thing I have ever laid eyes on!
Over the 10 years a lot of life has happened! The hardest road we have walked together has been navigating life as special needs parents. Navigating what this looks likes for us as individuals, as parents, and as spouses.
We have also experienced great triumphs together! After 9 years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice Jonny landed his dream job! He works as a fire-medic for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. This has been our biggest accomplishment as a couple!
With a smile that stops strangers dead in their tracks, Jaxlee Renee is the light of our life! In her four short years she has endured more than most will in a lifetime. At the age of 2, Jaxlee was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. She walks with a K-Walker and rides in a wheel chair for long distances. She uses a speech device as well as ASL (American Sign Language) to communicate with us and her peers. She also receives her remaining nutrients and hydration through a g-tube (feeding tube in her tummy) however, these obstacles don’t stop her from enjoying every moment of life to the fullest.
She has taught us more about the meaning of life than we ever knew existed.
Some of her most favorite things include swimming, therapeutic horse back riding and spending time with her family!
Meet Baby #2
Since the day Jaxlee was born we have been praying for a miracle!! Praying for healing and full restoration of her health.
I believe miracles come in all shapes and sizes... and perhaps this is the miracle she needs most... A SIBLING!!
I don’t take for granted the miracle of life and all the intricacies it takes to create and grow a healthy baby. I find peace in knowing God’s got all the details in His hands, just as He did with Jax!
Baby Barton due February 10th!
